Dolce & Gabbana for woman
Domenico Dolce grew up in Sicily, his mother sold fabrics and apparel and his father was a tailor, he moved to Milan to study fashion but dropped out before finishing his degree, already confident in his abilities. He met Milan local Stefano Gabbana, who had studied graphic design before transitioning into fashion, at a nightclub in 1980. The pair would go on to work as designers for the same fashion house before creating their own consulting studio in 1983 which they named Dolce & Gabbana. They created their first collection in 1986, naming it Donne Vere or Real Women due to the fact that they had to rely on their friends to model their clothing due to a lack of funds. The label is known for their Sicilian-inspired style featuring staples of the region like animal prints, pinstripes, florals, intricate embroidery and deep colors.
